Al Capone's fatherline contains powerful jumping sires of the Holsteiner breed such as Alme Z, Calypso I and Ladykiller xx.
In the motherline there is to name first of all the French "Selle Francais" sire Cor de la Bryère, probably the most outstanding sire of the Holsteiner breed. Goodwill's father is the Irish thoroughbred Good Match xx und his mother goes back to Der Löwe xx, so there is much blood in the pedigree. The great-grandmother Eira by Einhard produced Werra (by Werther), winning Grand Prix show jumping under Nick Skelton, England. Eira's mother, St.Pr.St. Silberkunst, is the full sister to the Celler sire "Servus".
Al Capone finished his stallion performance test in 2000 at the State Stud Prussendorf/Radegast with a final score of 118,30 and placed 9th.
As a 5-year-old he was 5th in a L-level jumping competition at the German championships for young horses in Warendorf. From 2000 to 2003, he placed 40 times in jumping competitions from level A to M. He was then sold to the USA.
As we sold Al Capone in 1996, we only have pictures of him as a colt. |
