Eira, Wolke and Elfenfaser
For more than 40 years Hanoverians have been bred on the stud farm of the Heumann family in Vordorf (Lower Saxony, Germany). These three mares formed the basis of the breeding: Wolke by Wohlstand, Eira by Einhard and Elfenfaser by Eljen (see broodmares).
More than 150 foals of 6 generations have come into the world on the farm.
Breeding success
Many nationally and internationally successful dressage horses and show jumpers, 1a-mares and state premium mares at local and regional mare shows as well as licensed stallions and participants at the "Bundeschampionat" are the result of crossing the broodmares to mostly Hanoverian sires.
Dressage
Besides the breeding, the dressage sport is of great importance on the Heumann farm: The father breeds the horses and his daughter trains and presents them successfully at shows.
Thus they have placed in and won many 4th level and Prix St. Georges / Intermédiare I tests up to Grand Prix solely on horses they bred. Just think of Aphrodite I, Wendemond, Welden, Giedeon, Gienevia and Abrodite. You will find more successful dressage horses HERE.
