Werra (Werther-Einhard-Sesam)

Of all show horses bred by Jürgen Heumann one horse has to be especially emphasized: Werra, *1979 by Werther, out of Eira by Einhard, is surely known to many of you.

Werra was sold as a 4-year-old in spring 1983 to a dressage stable and went later to a show jumping stable where she was trained and nationally and internationally shown by Klaus Reinacher. She was then sold to Paul Schockemöhle whose former rider Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst competed her on big shows.

When Werra went in 1991 to the stable of Nick Skelton, England, the breakthrough was not long in coming. In the same year they both won the Grand Prix of Stuttgart and Hannover.

The picture was taken November 17, 1991 at the CHIO Hannover. Werra’s winnings add up to 88,000 Euros!

Anaxagoras (Athletico-Cor de la Bryère-Goodwill)

The licensed stallion Anaxagoras, born 1994 by Athletico (Holst.) out of Cordoba by Cor de la Bryère, was sold as a foal to the State Stud Celle, finished his 100-day-test in 1997 in Adelheidsdorf with a final score of 114,37 and placed 9th of all stallions taking part.

After the testing, Anaxagoras was sold and placed as a 5- and 6-year-old in competitions for young horses. Since 2003 he has been ridden by Heinrich Bormann and has already won several S-jumping competitions. In Isernhagen in 2006 Anaxagoras won 2 S-jumping classes and was 6th in the Grand Prix jumping competition. Until August 2008, he has gained over 17,000 Euros and collected over 130 ribbons.

In 2007 and 2008, he won several S* jumping classes with his rider Heinrich Bormann, Göttingen, for exemple, in Wilkenburg, Bargstedt, Dobrock and Harsum. Moreover, Anaxagoras became 2nd (2007) and 4th (2008) in the Lower Saxony Championships in Hanover with 17-year-old Kevin Knittel.

Saracalla (Stakkato-Calypso II-Grand Royal)

The bay mare Saracalla (* 2000) by Stakkato out of St.Pr.St. Caracalla is the full sister to the licensed stallion Stalypso and to Streamer (see below). As a 4-year-old Saracalla got a filly by Lancer III ("Lucky Lue") and as a 6-year-old she started being trained as a jumper in Berlin.

In 2007 Saracalla placed up to M** classes and had several clear rounds in the Youngster Tour for 7- and 8-year-old jumpers.

At the German Classics in Hanover (10/25-28/07) she had 2 clear rounds with just 1 time penalty (S classes).

Stalypso (Stakkato-Calypso II-Grand Royal)

The bay licensed stallion Stalypso (born 2002) and full brother to Streamer and Saracalla) by Stakkato out of St.Pr.St. Caracalla placed several times in jumping classes for young horses and got qualified in 2007 and 2008 for the Federal Championships in Warendorf.

He is owned by Gesüt Sprehe.

Paso doble (Perpignon-Cor de la Bryère-Goodwill)

The bay gelding Paso doble (born 2001) by Perpignon out of Cordoba by Cor de la Bryère was sold as a jumper to the Emsland in November 2005.

In spring 2006 he already placed in jumping classes for young horses up to class M. In June 2006 Paso doble got qualified with his rider Denis Huser for the Federal Championships of 5-year-old jumpers in Warendorf where he was 4th in the small final. At the end of 2006 Paso doble was sold to Florida.

Eclypso (Escudo-Calypso II-Waldhorn)

The licensed bay stallion Eclypso (born 1999) by Escudo I out of St.Pr.St. Costa Rica by Calypso II finished in Oktober 2002 his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with a final score of 100 and was thus licensed.

He placed and won in 2004 and 2005 as a 5- and 6-year-old 30 times in jumping classes for young horses up to class M.

Later on, he was sold to Mexico.

Al Capone (Acord II-Cor de la Bryère-Goodwill)

The licensed chestnut stallion Al Capone (born 1994) by Acord II and Cordoba by Cor de la Bryère competed as a jumper in 2000 bis 2003. He placed 40 times in jumping competitions up to class M/A. At the Federal Championships in 2001 in Warendorf he was 5th in jumping class L. Al Capone was later sold to the USA.

Streamer (Stakkato-Calypso II-Grand Royal)

The bay gelding Streamer (born 1999) (full brother to Stalypso and Saracalla) by Stakkato out of St.Pr.St. Caracalla by Calypso II collected in only 2 shows seasons 2003 and 2004 as a 4- and 5-year-old many ribbons in jumping classes for young horses from class A to M. Later on, Streamer died after a routine operation.

Der Lord (Der Löwe-Einhard-Sesam)

Der Lord , *1974 by the English thoroughbred Der Löwe xx out of Eira by Einhard. Der Lord had 192 placements in M-level jumping classes. He won 30 L-level and 20 M-level classes and was still successful at shows at the age of 18.

G-Line (Gotthard-Einhard-Sesam)

In order not to make the list too long, the next and last show jumper mentioned here is G-Line (VA Gadebusch), a half brother to Werra and Der Lord. Born in 1977 by Gotthard out of Eira by Einhard he won S-level jumping competititons for the stable of Liz Edgar, England. G-Line was sold as a foal to the south of Germany and later via the Verden Elite Auction to England.
